Our solar battery storage systems enable you to maximise the electricity generated by your solar panels by storing it in batteries for use in the evening.
Most people are out of the house during the day, so the electricity generated by solar panels is often fed back into the grid because the electricity demands of the property are at their lowest.
You are paid a small amount of export tariff for this electricity, but you will then have to buy it back from the grid in the evening. By storing this electricity it means you can use it when you need it most – reducing your electricity bills.
At present you will still receive export payments for the generated electricity as many households do not have smart metering in place. The export payment is deemed at 50% of the total generation of the solar PV system.
Tesla powerwall certified installers
We are now a Tesla Powerwall 2 Certified Installer, which means that we have met the criteria to design and install a customised Telsa Powerwall 2 battery solution which will enable you to store solar energy generated during the day for use any time.
Powerwall 2 consists of a 14 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, liquid thermal control system, an integrated inverter and software that intelligently dispatches electricity when it’s needed most. The unit mounts seamlessly on a wall or on the ground, indoors or outdoors, and is connected to the grid to export excess energy.
Powerwall can provide a number of benefits;
Increasing self-consumption of solar power generation –Powerwall can store surplus solar energy during daylight hours and use that energy later when the sun is not shining.
Load shifting – Powerwall can charge during low rate periods when demand for electricity is lower and discharge during more expensive rate periods when electricity demand is higher.
Back-up power – Assures power in the event of a grid outage.

If you are already enjoying the benefits of generating your own electricity but would like to maximise your self consumption of free electricity then you can add a battery system to your existing array and in most cases you can keep your existing inverter.
If your current inverter is not compatible with the battery system, or it has come to the end of its warranty and you would like a new inverter with a new 10 year warranty then a hybrid inverter is the option for you.
